Thank you for your interest in becoming a Customer Service Volunteer at ArtGeo! We rely on the assistance of our wonderful volunteers to support day-to day operations and greet, direct and assist visitors at the ArtGeo Gallery and Old Courthouse.

Surrounded by art, volunteers get to meet people from all around the world at one of Busselton’s oldest buildings. Volunteering provides a great sense of community and many new friendships are made.

If you have as little as 3 hours to spare once a month and have an interest in art or history, we’d love to hear from you!


  • Start and end of day procedures.
  • Welcome and interact with visitors to share information about exhibitions, events and site history.
  • Answer telephone enquiries.
  • Assist people with disabilities gain access to the buildings.
  • Record and receipt retail sales and other payments using EFT devices and point of sale software.
  • Assist with future guided tours.
  • Assist with cruise ship visits, as required.
  • Assist with special events and functions, as required.


  • Excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate EFTPOS machines and point-of-sale software (training provided).
  • Mobility, ie able to handle uneven floor surfaces and steps in heritage-listed buildings.
  • Willing to participate in on-the-job induction and on-going training.
