The ArtGeo Gallery is one of only a few solely devoted exhibition venues in the South West offering regional and State artists opportunities to show their work. It is also unique in that the Gallery operates as both a public gallery exhibiting touring exhibitions of Western Australian contemporary art and also as a commercial gallery aimed at supporting and sustaining regional arts practice.

The Gallery is situated in the Old Agriculture Building opposite to the Courthouse complex.  Its newly renovated spaces are clean and spacious suitable to show highly contemporary work through to more traditional art forms.

Courthouse Gallery

The well known ArtGeo Courthouse Gallery has been revitalised as a retail outlet for locally produced arts and crafts. The initiative involves a cooperative of arts organisations as well as individual artists looking for an outlet for their art and designer craft.Bond Store in the CourtHouse Gallery: The Bond Store offers an excellent opportunity to purchase local art and craft wares from the artisans of the region.Bond Store in the CourtHouse Gallery: The Bond Store offers an excellent opportunity to purchase local art and craft wares from the artisans of the region.Artworks available from the CourtHouse Gallery

Visitors to the Courthouse Gallery can expect to find beautifully turned wood, precious jewellery, glass, paintings, fine sculptures and porcelain displayed throughout the courthouse building.

The market focus is both regional and tourist oriented so much of the work is small and reasonably priced to suit the traveller and day tripper alike. Locals also take the opportunity to purchase gifts for Christmas often to send to relatives and friends elsewhere. The products are distinctive to the area so are purchased as a piece of the region to treasure back home or as a memory of a wonderful trip or holiday.

One aspect of this initiative is maintaining opening hours. The ArtGeo Gallery and Courthouse Arts Complex is attended by volunteers. The artists who exhibit are invited to act as Gallery attendants, a strategy developed by Helena and members of Arts Alive in Busselton Inc.

The Court Yard

The CourtHouse Arts Complex houses a leafy courtyard which hosts several events through out the year. It is available for hire.
