Earth HourEarth Hour

We want to keep you in the dark... for just one hour.

Earth Hour is being held on Saturday March 28th at 8:30pm - 9:30pm.  Earth Hour is an annual global event with the aim in 2009 to reach over 1 billion people in over 1,000 cities.  Local climate change action group, Above Water, are hosting an event at the Artgeo Courthouse Courtyard on Queen Street to celebrate Earth Hour and remind us that individual actions make a huge difference!  The event includes local acoustic entertainers Juerlaine Prideaux and Desert Radio from 7:30, and the screening of the popular documentary "telling the Truth" during the ‘Earth Hour' (8:30 - 9:30-pm).  All activities are powered by a solar power trailer.

So grab some candles, pack a picnic dinner and bring the family to come and enjoy the fun, all in exchange for a gold coin donation.  We also encourage you to walk or ride to the event - save fuel while you save power!

And don't forget to switch off you lights at home and at work for the hour!

This is your chance to show your serious about our environment and global warming.
